Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She is an American Mexican actor. She also sings. As a child she was subjected to racial taunts by a lot of Americans. After entering a ninth-grade school audition where she received high praise for her singing and acoustics, she began to gain confidence. This not only increased her self-confidence but also changed her career ambition. In the year 22 she was able to graduate from the Julliard School of New York. She began her career at the age of 23 in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and the film You've Got Mail. But her biggest break came when she appeared in the character in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway show Spamalot receiving not just an award called the Tony Award for her performance as well as a lot of critical praise. Later that year, as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC the show, she received more fame. As a well-known singer, she also released a single and an extended play. She has also been a vocal advocate for LGBT issues.
